Bangkok, May 14, 2026 — Metro Systems Corporation PCL (MSC), in collaboration with IBM (Thailand) Co., Ltd., hosted the “Empowering IBM i with IBM BOB” seminar on May 14, 2026, at Prestige 2, 11th Floor, Grande Centre Point Prestige Hotel, Bangkok. The event brought together IT executives, IBM i / AS400 system administrators, RPG developers, and technology specialists from across industries to explore how IBM BOB — IBM’s AI Coding Assistant — is redefining the future of IBM i and RPG development, empowering organizations to modernize their legacy systems without disrupting the stability of existing code. The seminar opened with a warm welcome by Mr. Puttasak Kanhadilok, Senior Presales Manager, MSC, setting the stage for an insightful morning of learning and innovation.

The first session, “Introducing IBM BOB: AI Partner for IBM i,” was delivered by Mr. Chananop Wannatipyaporn, Brand Technical Sales Specialist — AI Productivity, IBM Thailand. The session revealed IBM BOB as a purpose-built AI Coding Assistant Agent designed to enhancement IBM i and RPG development — enabling developer teams to harness the power of AI directly within their existing workflows, with no platform migration or RPG code overhaul required.

The second session, “IBM BOB in Action: Real-World IBM i & RPG Use Cases,” was led by Ms. Duangjai Chan-Im, Application Development Manager, and Mr. Chanakarn Sama, System Analyst, both from MSC. Through real-world case studies and demonstrated how IBM BOB supports legacy code, accelerates system modernization, and drives productivity gains for IBM i and RPG teams.

The event concluded with “What’s New in IBM Hardware 2026,” co-presented by Ms.Tuentachom Sanchayakorn, Automation Partner Technical Specialist, IBM Thailand, and Mr. Puttasak Kanhadilok, Senior Presales Manager, MSC. The session delivered the latest updates on IBM Power, IBM Storage, and IBM Instana for Observability across Hybrid & AI Environments in 2026.
